This large statement silver necklace features a kambaba jasper and green sapphire, the September birthstone. A floral necklace, inspired by the Art Nouveau era, perfect for an Art Jewelry collector or gardener who loves big impressive botanical jewelry. Both the focal piece and chain elements feature tiny wildflowers holding tightly to the jasper cabochon. The flowers were harvested from my garden and reproduced here for a complete, cohesive floral look. The entire necklace has been patinated for fall with golds, bronzes and hints of blue-gray with only the inner petals of the flower left in shiny silver to show off the green sapphire. Truly an Art Jewelry necklace.
***Necklace is currently on display in an exhibition at the Macchiarini Creative Design and Metalworks Gallery in San Francisco April 14-June 2018. Available directly from gallery until end of June.
The focal piece measures 2.75" long and is just under 1.75" at its widest. The chain is approximately 22" long and has a sturdy and easy to use, loop and bar clasp with the same wildflower pattern. Both focal piece and chain elements are fine silver .999 pure, jump rings and chain at the clasp are sterling silver .925. Matching earrings using some of the chain elements are in the works.
All jewelry is gift boxed with ribbon, ready for giving.
