This striking, color of the year, green enamel maple leaf set on a silver necklace was done with a combination of basse-taille and champleve enameling techniques.
A lovely gardener gift, this iconic summer necklace will bring a smile to her face. A perfect wedding necklace or green Canadian maple leaf.
A maple leaf was impressed into the silver, just deep enough to form a valley for the enamel, this is the champleve technique. By adding transparent green enamels using wet packing and 15 separate firings, the glass remains clear, which permits the veins of the leaf to shine through, this is the basse-taille technique. Ready to ship.
The fine silver .999 pure pendant measures 1.25" top to bottom and at the widest. It hangs by a hidden bail on a 16" sterling silver .925 snake chain. If you prefer 18" long, please just let me know at checkout, I am happy to switch it out at no extra charge.
All jewelry is in a box with ribbon, ready for giving.
